Do you like reading books, what do you think would happen in your life if books were banished. If you would want to see what would happen then you need to check out Fahrenheit 451.
The book Fahrenheit 451is about a character named Guy Montag. Guy is fireman, but not the kind of fireman that we have in our society. He is a fireman who burns books. This book takes place in the future. People in this futuristic society don't read books, in fact, reading books were illegal. On a different subject, the people who lived there, rarely went out side and watched the nature outside them, they seldomly were by themselves, or thought independently or really ever have conversations that actually meant something. What they did instead was they drove very fast, watched a lot of T. V. on those T.V sets that are real small and are on the side of streets just to advertise. They also listen to the radio a lot on Seashell Radios which are attached to their ears.
Soon He Montag meets a 16 going on 17 year old girl, named Clarisse McClellan. She makes Guy realize that his life is really empty. After a while He really starts to see some bad things happen. First, Guy’s wife Mildred, attempts suicide by swallowing a whole bunch of sleeping pills. Then; later he gets an alarm that and older lady has a big stash of books. When he wants to do his job of burning them, the old lady asks to be burned with her books. Then even worse stuff happens, about three days later he hears bad news that Clarisse was hit by a speeding car and killed.
After all of these events happen to him he starts to read the book that he has stolen and stashed in an air conditioning vent. After a while of Guy not showing up for work Guy’s boss or fire chief Beatty visits him at his house. Beatty tells Guy that this is 100% normal for a fireman to wonder about books and wonder what they are about. So Beatty tells Him the whole story about how books got to be banished. He told him that books started to offend people and so books all started to look the same since the writers didn’t want to offend anybody. So instead of insulting the government, they decided to burn books. Beatty gives him 24 hours to read the book and see if it has any meaning before they have to be burned. Guy being overwhelmed by all the reading, he asks his wife Mildred to help him, but, she would rather watch T.V. instead of helping out her husband, and wonders why he would even want to read books.
Then he remembers seeing a retired English professor at the park one day. His name was Faber, he goes to visit Faber, just to see if he knows anything about what Guy is reading. Faber says that not only does he have to read the book, but he also has to think about what the author was thinking when he wrote the book. So Faber creates a printer that he can recreate books on. And Guy will steal more books.
So if you want to see the ending of if he gets caught….. Or if he doesn’t get caught….. You will just have to read the book.
I recommend this book to kids ages 11 through 15. In my experience reading this book was really good, it had a good story line, a good little adventures moments. If you like the action-adventure or good plain ol’ book you will LOVE this book. I rate it 9/10.

Chapter 13

Future

"Waiter, waiter I need some tea."

"I am sorry Mr.-"

"Merridew, Jack Merridew!"

" Wait the same Jack that was caught on an island 15 years ago."

"Yeah, how did you know that."

" It's me Ralph" I'm your waiter."

" Oh darn, well I need some tea, and a new waiter."

Ralph thought that when he pushed Jack off the ship he had died. Apparently When Ralph saw the strong waves and heavy rains he thought Jack would never live. Ralph walks through the doors and when he turns around he sees Jack with a spear.

"911,911 someone call the bloody cops that man wants to kill me."

"What nonsense, I just want to eat my lobster of a spear. Of course I want to kill you, you nasty little boy. Says Jack.

Then Jack starts running at Ralph, saying very vulgar words.

Ralph starts to run saying.

"First Simon, then piggy now me, who's next."

Jack drops the spear and starts punching and kicking Ralph as hard as he can.

"You pushed me off the bloody boat, then started laughing and telling the captain never to come back. Luckily, he did come back only after 5 days worth of swimming, and only eating fish and drinking salt water." Jack yells this.

Ralph answers with, "the only thing I have cared about since we got off the island is getting a job so that I can support my family since we lost everything we had in that war. And now I have half a mind to kill you."

Jack takes a swing at Ralph and whiffs then takes another and Ralph grabs his arm.

"Oh, did I forget to tell you once we left the captain gave us all free subscriptions to: be a marital arts master in 5 short months." Jack Jack's arm is completely red because Ralph has been squeezing it for about 5 minutes.

"If you don't let go in 5 seconds I will call the cops and have you arrested for assault."

"Ok you do that, and I will-!"

Jack socks Ralph right in the jaw, Ralph is on the ground with a broken jaw and bleeding all over.

"Iell hgt rou"

"What are you saying?"

" Ri sraid I will get you."

20 years later.

Jack and Ralph haven't seen each other since the last incident.

Mr. Merridew would you like an upgrade on your suite."

"Yes, please one with a view please."

"Ok and your waiter with your room service will be right up.

Then Ralph also being a worker at the hotel jumps out of no where and stabs Jack directly in the heart with a butter knife. Blood is oozing out of his body at a high speed, like a cop chasing a crimanal.

"Ow. look what you did to me, now i am going to die."

"you mean like you killed Simon and Piggy, and then like before i pushed you off the boat you killed Robert and Roger. You are a criminal, now you will pay your price."

"Dude, not cool i will kill-"

Jack dies as he speaks, blood is still spurting out for some reason. Once Ralph kills him he goes, home to his wife to tell her what happened and tell her he loves her but has to go. He gets in his car drives to the freeway and gets out and instantaneously gets hit by a bus. his body goes flying. If you look closely enough you could see hiss body go up, and he is safely with his old buddies Simon, and Ralph, but Jack went down to hell.

Chapter 12: Cry of the Hunters
Perspective: Piggy

Death
Two more days, Two more days it is all it would have taken. I would have been Saved. I would have gone home and seen my auntie. Jack just had to kill me, he had to have his fire and pig. They dropped a bloody boulder on me for crying out loud! I wanted to go home!

After i died i see Jack and samneric and blood i dont reall know what that means. They were cordons of Ralph, and Jack couldn't let that be. Then they put the forest on fire to try to kill ralph gosh jack is just mean he cant just kill one or two people it has to be three.

Later Ralph ran out I didnt understan why he was i couldnt see anything on the beach. then I saw a man with drill and epaulettes on his uniform that is a good sign. He ululated knowing he was going to see family again.

Me personally would like to have been alive for this but with one glass it would of been hard

Chapter 11: Castle Rock

Who is it next?

Jack is to wild with power if only I could stop him. Ralph is doing a good job of chief I don’t even know why Jack is like this I don’t even know why they killed me I was trying to tell them bout the lord of the flies but they didn’t want to hear. Well now that doesn’t have specs in a few days he will be delirious if he last that long. Jack is so dangerous he was the real reason for my death, he also is power hungry all he thinks about is killing pigs. They need a talisman to protect themselves from Jack.

Ralph should have done some thing to prevent Piggy from going to get his specs. I saw that something bad was gonna happen, but once I reached heaven everyone said you cant inter fear with the alive ones or bad stuff will happen. Ralph should have made a cessation on the way so they could rest. When they got there they saw a giant rock wall. Jack and his hunters came back from the forest. Ralph and Jack started arguing. When Ralph didn’t listen, Jack ordered that Samneric were to be tied.

I don’t want anyone else to get hurt it’s just hard watching this. Ralph should take charge here, take the gang back to the other side before someone else gets hurt. But he doesn’t so Jack and Ralph get into a fight with the spears. Jack stabbed Ralph. I that Roger is gonna do something with this lever I don’t know what it does but it doesn’t seem good. I look again and this lever is like a catapult, and if nothing happens Piggy is a gonner. Then Roger does the unthinkable he truculently pushes down on the lever, I go down and push Piggy out the way but, since I am not supposed to be able to mess with real live people I just go right thru piggy and, the boulder slams down on piggy and he falls forty feet until he crashes down below into rocks. When he came to a stop his head was cracked open, some blood spilled out of his head and he turned bright red. Then I turn around and I see him he is now just a floating spirit like me!

The new Rain of Power
I am the chief! Finally no more Mr. Ralph! No more Mr i will blow the conch and you will come. He's so waxy. Also the part was great. We even killed something people were trying to tell me it was the beast but i dont think it was you no what i think it was i think it was Simon. Now everyone was so sad over the fact we killed him. I kept illuminating to myself in my head that it was an accident and we didn’t know it was Simon. The boys don’t know how upset I am, s thats good right. They would think I went barmy.
I was bored and decided we needed fire, so I asked who wanted to come and Maurice and Roger proffered themselves. Then we purged to The old side of the island. Then i thought to my self. How is this fire going to happen. So,we went back to and stole the specs right off Piggys eyes.
Then we went over to the fire and tried to start it once again. From a distance it might have looked like we were doing some theological since we were in a circle, But you cant ever now what the others are thinking while watching this.

The attack against the beastie

Its just Piggy and me around these days. I think everyone else went to have a feast at Jack’s part of the island. I think they just want meat. Once me and Piggy arrive there everyone went silent. The first person to talk was jack, of course and he made the boys to give us some meat. Thank god i haven had meat in a while. I saw the boys treated him like royalty also he was sitting like he was on a throne. Jack and I start to yell (like old times sake) and I tell him will blow the conch but, he says conch doesn't work over hear i and i tell him it does and he says nu uh and i say yeah huh but no one listened to us they all ignored us and ate. Then it started raining, it wasn’t little rain it was lightning and thundering! then Jack said to everyone to do a dance and form a circle around roger who was acting as a pig again. He did look a bit corpulent. Then, some boys came running out yelling that the beastie is in forest. The circle transformed into a half circle shape, and as soon as the beast came out every started attacking it and trying to kill it. Then a parachute fell down holding a dead body. Everyone went screaming into the forest. Later I walked out of the forest and could see phosphorescence on the sand. That's when saw there was no beastie we had just killed Simon. Maybe the beast is inside all of us, and that was why he was killed tonight. No one would listen to him.

Chapter 7: Shadows and tall trees

The adventure of a lifetime

Just leaving Piggy all alone on the island with the littleuns seems a little unsafe but if he wants to I guess he can do it. we go kill the beast. Im not sure if i want to be here, I kinda want to leave its getting dark it's not very fun. All we have done is watch Ralph try to kill a boar, he stabbed but didnt succeed then Roger thought he was a boar and everyone was attacking him then he said stop it was hurting but no one listened. Also earlier with that dumb epilepsy, making me look like a retard in front of Ralph. I think Ralph thought I was going waxy because I was telling him that he would get back safely. I was holding a rock so hard. After that we walked back to the rest of the group and I made sure to act dun. The most sagely choice was to either explain it or saying nothing, I didn’t want to seem like a weirdo because I have epilepsy.
We decided to look for the beastie as i was saying before. It got later and darker and so we decided to make it so Piggy didnt get scared someone should go back, but they all said it was to scary for one to go by them self, but since i was already not happy about being there i said i will do it, i mean i am bravado! That made Jack look at me, and when he looked at me he looked sort of windy. Jack finally said i could and then I started to walk back in to the forest and back to Piggy

Title: Flying Beastie

I wake up and Sam n' Eric are flailing their arms in my face saying they saw the beastie. When I got to the meting Sam n' Eric say that the beastie attacked them and had big claws and had wings. they say it scratched um then say it is the reason they bleed. I said if theres a monster i will kill it but you know what i don't even think there s a beastie.I think they fell asleep looking after the fire so it was probably a dream. We looked all over the island no foot tracks so i don't know what they think they saw.

Ralph always talks bout how he works while I hunt, hunting aint no easy job. He so waxy. I bet if we switched jobs we all would be hungry but be on a plane going home cause i would be such a good leader. But Ralph needing to get everyone embroiled says that someone needs to stay with the littleuns. says who we never did anyways. I think Piggy should since he cant do nuttin else since his specs broke .

Ralph came with me to the mountaintop I wished he hadn't since he tried to take over god hes messed up in the head! The walk to the mountain was interminable it just was super long. hence the boys playing with rocks little after w started walking. Me and Ralph kept walking the one thing we agree on. When we got to the castle rock It was covered with guano.

Well duh i need to enforce the rules no one is listening to them. They poop where ever, they disrespect all the rules we have made, hunters with the fire, how they have to hold on to it to make sure it is up and going. people have to make sure they are helping with the shelters. Nobody gathers water except the maybe one or to a day, gosh! Not only are people not respecting me but they disturb me during my meetings. Then in the night times the littleuns lamentation like ludicrous babies, then Jack and Morice get mad at them and jeeringly copy them and cry to to try to be cool. Unlike them Perceval has decorum like a good boy. You know this makes me mad but maybe it is to much responsibility for me maybe Jack was correct. But common lets go into reality Jack being right... Pshh like i would com to see the day

What is wrong with the Island?

I can’t believe that Percival, Johnny, and Henry's sand castles malevolently. That made him mad so, then Johnny imitated the biguns behavior with belligerence. I saw this while walking around, I don't know why the older kids pick on the littleuns it's so rude. Once I knew we were gonna be on the island for a long time I knew I would get bored so all I wanted to do is just hang around hoping others would do the same but no, everyone is so annoying. And Ralph the leader phssh, all he could lead, no he cant even lead any thing I thought I would like him but no. And Jack always needs to kill a pig we could have been of by now, that annoys me so much because he doesn’t help with anything all he does is talk about pigs, pigs, pigs. If only we had sunscreen gosh my arms are so burnt its getting swarthiness, I think he needs to see a balm. Paint was all over Jacks face he looked like a little kid using finger paintings but I have to give him the perseverance award.

I am swimming when I thought of a sundial. I was thinking maybe we could have a certain time each day that we could all get together and do something, since now the littleuns are getting scared at night. Then when I told that to Ralph he laughed, and that made my day. Then Ralph gets out of the water because a ship is here or at least that’s what it seemed like, turns around and looks at the fire and I could tell he was going to be mad at Jack because the fire has been out for hours. Then I get even madder cause they steal my specks, AGAIN!!! Gosh after chasing them I fall trip and bleed gouts. Gosh them boys are mean, mean I tell you.

Chapter #3: Huts On The Beach
Perspective: Simon

I am helping as much as possible but where I go it is like I am the only one on earth. We worked all day Ralph and I, but no one else helped to build shelter. We only made two and if a rain storm hits I sure were dead meat. Ralph kept getting mad at me because I wanted to help the little ones. I grabbed in between the trees tendrill and gave fruit to the small children who couldn't reach it themselves. I hated it when Jack came back and all he had was well nothing, he complained on why he cant kill a darn pig but I don't know I think he just isn't good at hunting. He says he needs barb, and water, but doesn't even bother to ask us if we need help, god I wish I had the spear and I would... Then I think I heard him susurration something but I doubt it, it may have just been inscrutable to me but o well. When me and Ralph were building the shelters ooh was that vicissitudes, people were just walking by and not doing anything about it, gosh that pains me. Then the whole day I though I actually did hear a beastie, I was hearing a boom, boom, boom. It was piggy making a castanet.

Come on Ralph why do you always get to talk, about stuff why do you always blow the shell. Sure you are the chief, but I mean seriously if you’re the chief yell at someone there’s a fire getting way out of control, we lost a kid and for all we know he has either found food or died. I think you need to do something about this, I mean the fire barley ever got smoke. If I was in charge you know what would happen around here, we would have plenty of everything. Gosh I hate this rule your chief. I know I act like I don't care but obviously I do. And besides no body even boats by here so why are we building a fire, I think it's time you think things clearly now.

Well maybe I shall pinch the shell and hide it and not tell anyone that so when we look for it I will look very responsible and Ralph, well he will just be ashamed and forgotten. Yeah, yeah that’s what I will do, and maybe then kill a pig a put the blood on the conch to make it look like a pig took it then died or something. Ha-ha that’s the best idea I have ever had

The only good thing that’s ever happened here so far is no parents. And the fact I’m a hunter yeah that’s good too.

The new Adventure

Perspective: Ralph

Wow, a life with no parents nagging you when to go to sleep, or brush your teeth or any of that. I can get used to this.

Right when I got here just walking around I actually got somewhat scared. There was just a big fat kid following me, and asking me weird questions like, "what is your name". I told him it was Ralph because well it is, but I have this strange feeling he wanted me to ask what his name was... O well if he had really wanted me to know he would have spoken up. Eventually he told me his name after a few ways of trying me to ask... I think. He told me he did NOT want to be called piggy, which is what the kids at his old school called him, but that sucks for him because that’s what were calling him. Later I had found this big shell like thing called a conch, and got everyone together by blowing into it. We figured out names, piggy could have also said something then to prevent his name from being piggy but it piggy.


Once Piggy and I got everyone together we found out all the names and took a vote who would be chief of the island. It was between me and the guy with the cloak, Jack. So once we started voting I actually didn't think I was going to win I thought that Jack was, since he already had a group of people. I think I won since I found the shell but, you never know.

I told the kids who were following Jack to be hunters I hope they can find some food, because I am starting to get hungry.

Jack, me, and this other kid Simon went walking around to see what to do on this island, Piggy wanted to tag along but we said three's enough.
